Overview
Roadie is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device, and your music listening activity stays private.
Music Service Connections
Roadie connects to your music services to detect what you’re currently playing:
- Spotify — Uses Spotify’s OAuth to access your currently playing track. Roadie only reads playback state; it cannot modify your library or playlists.
- Apple Music — Uses Apple’s MusicKit framework to detect the current track. Access is managed entirely by iOS.
Lyrics Data
Lyrics are sourced from LRCLIB, an open community lyrics database. Once fetched, lyrics are cached locally using SwiftData so they’re available offline and load instantly on repeat listens.
Data Collection
Roadie does not collect any data. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs, and no user accounts. We have no servers that receive your data.

Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling Roadie removes everything. There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.
